About Chihuahuas

INFO ABOUT CHIHUAHUA’S

Chihuahua’s are known to be terrier like dogs with a “saucy” temperament. They are the smallest breed of dog in the world and originate from Chihuahua, Mexico. Because of their small size, they make ideal house pets and are portable for anyone who travels often and would like to bring their dog along. Chihuahuas come in long coat and short coat and can range from black to white and any other color or pattern in between. There is such a wide variation in colors and patterns that sometimes a puppy’s exact color and pattern can be hard to determine.

OUR CHIHUAHUA’s

We got our start with chihuahua’s because of Pepe. Honestly, I was not a big fan of Chihuahua’s before I saw Pepe. I thought they were little rat dogs that bite people. Boy, was I wrong. Pepe is adorable and so tiny. He runs around like a tiny little lion making sure everything is in order. I’d never seen a dog so tiny and I could not get enough of him. When my friend was unable to keep him any longer, I took him and Willow both.

Willow is a sweet chihuahua. She’s a little on the bigger side, but always has the cutest tiniest puppies with Pepe. She has a sweet temperament and is very good with children. Often people say Chihuahua’s are not good with kids, but we have learned through our experience dogs are good with kids when they are raised with kids. Willow and Pepe are used to kids and love to be held by them.

If you come visit, you will also see Pixie, our third chihuahua running around the house. She is our resident guard dog. She won’t have puppies, so I didn’t put her on the parent page. She is full of spunk and sometimes grouchy if you get too close to her bed. But, she’s all bark and no bite. She is what they mean by a “saucy” temperament. Willow and Pepe both have a very laid back and quiet temperament.

Chihuahua’s are a wonderful family pet. They are easy keepers and Willow and Pepe’s puppies come pre-socialized to love children!

This is Cabo, one of Pepe’s puppies! Isn’t he sweet?
