Just like clockwork, Muffin had her puppies on time. She even spared us an all nighter and had them at 8 in the morning. She delivered 5 puppies easily and is a great mother. Unfortunately one little guy didn’t make it. She has 4 left and we posted photos. One has been snapped up already. Way to go Muffin!!

Muffin and Sophie were bathed, pedicured, and pampered today and were brought in the house to our “maternity ward” to await their new arrivals. We expect puppies anywhere between now and 10 days from now. Sophie is pleasantly plump, but Muffin is just downright huge. Her belly sticks out on all sides and she has taken to waddling. I am sure she enjoys the rest and relaxation away from our other dogs. It won’t be long and we’ll have puppies here. We are ready! I am so excited that I can’t hardly stand it! Pictures and info will be posted as soon as we have news to share. I know there are several people anxiously awaiting their arrival. There is just nothing cuter than a tiny Brussel-sprout.

Lots of new things at Gallagher Farm to report! We have finally at long last found a male suitable for Tootsie and purchased him last weekend. So, check back soon for pictures of Gus! Gus is short for his full name : Baron Gustophson von Gallagher. He is a smooth red male with almost 100% champion males in his pedigree. He is from a show home and is the most beautiful and correct example of a dachshund I have ever laid eyes on! He is already 26 lbs and will probably be nearly 30 lbs when he is done growing. We are so lucky to be able to add him to our home. He and Tootsie will have lovely puppies together and will have puppies in the larger standard range. Previously all her puppies were small standards or tweenies and we really wanted larger standards from her since they have become so impossible to find. So, look for that pairing in the future!

Next, we have news to report that Maggie is now expecting puppies. She was bred to Charlie, our chocolate and tan wirehair male. They should have some lovely puppies together and we are excited about it. She is due in September.

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our Brussels Griffon and Dachshund puppies that will start arriving in the next couple of weeks. We will post photos as they arrive. That’s all for now!
