Rub A Dub Dub…
…three Brussels in a tub! These little pups are getting ready for their first vet visit.
Batman (middle) looks like he has sprouted his wings! He’s just trying to shake off his excess water.
Peanut & Batman are saying, “Momma?”
Tubbs is his easy going self…he decided to see what the sink tastes like. His name FITS!
Blooper Time!
We all love outtakes and bloopers don’t we? I thought I’d share a few of the most recent mishaps here at the farm caught on camera. Sorry about the quality of the photos. Outtakes are hardly ever focused, clear pictures!
Taking puppy pictures is always a challenge. The older the puppies get, the worse it usually is. We are getting into the rough stages of puppy photos right now as the puppies near 5 weeks old. It’s all downhill from here.
SOME OF THIS WEEK’S PUPPY BLOOPERS:
Whoa! Get back little doggie! “Couch-Jumpers” area a common problem at our house. These puppies wait until right when you are about to snap the photo and decide to take a plunge off the end of the couch.
This one at least had a mind to look over the edge before taking the plunge!
This daredevil saw the opportunity- and almost made it over the edge before I caught her.
This is Snickers and she gave me quite a run for my money this week. I took twice as many photos of her because she was wild & wooly the whole time. I kept telling her to be good for ONE SECOND and we’d be done. She thought playing peek-a-boo would be more fun.
Here is Snickers again, showing me what she thinks of picture taking, I guess.
Now, how do you expect I’d sell this puppy if this was the best photo I could get of her? Good thing Snickers is already sold! I’m not sure about the slogan I’d have to come up with for this one.
“HALF LIZARD-HALF DOG FOR SALE $2000!”
“CUTE PUPPY–FOUR BROKEN LEGS–1/2 PRICE SALE!”
This look is always popular with the Brussels. They tend to walk around with their lower jaw out, but this is ridiculous.
OUR FARM IS A MENAGERIE OF DOGS, LIVESTOCK AND CHILDREN.
SO, THERE ARE MORE THAN JUST PUPPY BLOOPERS:
Crowding the camera is always a problem. Being crowded by a puppy is one thing, but being bum rushed by a horse is another.
Another favorite is the old “bait and switch.” Stand nice and still, then quickly do a 180 so all I see is rump. Or, ham, in this case.
This is Thomas’ favorite funny face. I have to wade through several of these shots to get a decent smile every single time. Thank God for digital cameras. They were invented for children like Thomas.
Not sure we’ll ever find a husband for this daughter of ours. I suppose we could ensure that she is an old maid if we circulate this picture around enough.
Eventually after all the shenanigans, the puppies tire out. Sometimes that’s the best opportunity for a picture.
On a rare occasion, even Thomas tires out. Note that I said RARE occasion.
Puppy Out-takes
Well I haven’t been so great about posting regularly lately. With the current 22 puppies and 4 kids in this house, I wouldn’t know WHY!? (That sounds like a lot when I see it in print!!)
I had a chuckle or two this week trying to take new puppy photos. It seemed like we had a good number of goofy pictures. Thank God for digital cameras.
Instead of wasting those pictures, I thought- what the hay- l let’s post ‘em on the blog so my readers can have a laugh too!
Now, what would be my sales slogan for this puppy with no eyes? Any suggestions?

Copy cat! If you are going to make faces, at least be original.

Verrrrrrrrrry funny.

Same to you Truffles!

Ok wise guy. I finally got them all to look in the direction of the camera and Marshmallow had to unhinge his jaws!

Even the Brussels had to chime in.
All of these blooper photos in one day. Imagine if I saved them all?
Meet Georgie Porgie Puddin’ Pie
Georgie Porgie, puddin’ and pie,
Kissed the girls and made them cry.
When the boys came out to play,
Georgie Porgie ran away!
Georgie is our new smooth coat blue and tan piebald-brindle stud. He has icy blue eyes and a temperament that will melt you! Can’t wait to see his puppies in 2008!
Poor Penny
When I look at Penny all I can do is feel sorry for her. She makes Izzy look like a shrimp. Oh my Penny. What have you gotten yourself into?

Penny isn’t due for 8 more days. I don’t think she will wait that long.
Any guesses how many?
